Community Goals

The Aberdeen community is fortunate to have multiple organizations/entities working on its behalf to improve the quality of life for our citizens and visitors. Aberdeen has a full-time city manager and aldermanic form of government with 8 elected councilmen and women and a part-time mayor.

The organizations serving the community include: The Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce, Aberdeen Development Corporation, Aberdeen Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Aberdeen Downtown Association. These organizations are separate with independent missions and goals but all have one goal in common, community growth and development. Therefore, they have and will continue to collaborate on community projects, issues and growth initiatives.
